Independent Technical Assessment

Athelguard assessments

Put a technical claim in context before a decision.

Commission an independent technical assessment focused on a defined technology question. The work distinguishes supporting evidence, unresolved claims, access limitations and practical follow-up checks without presenting a review as a guarantee.

Who this is for

  • Investors assessing a technology claim within a diligence process.
  • Businesses comparing a technical product, capability or dependency.
  • Decision-makers who need a scoped explanation of what the available evidence can support.

Scope & deliverables

  • 1 company, 1 technical domain and up to 5 agreed claims.
  • Up to 2 calls, subject to access and scheduling agreed in the engagement.
  • An 8–12 page report, source ledger and readout; reviewer capacity must be confirmed before acceptance.

What is outside this scope

  • No automatic lab testing, penetration testing, certification or unlimited architecture review.
  • No guarantee of commercial viability, safety, performance or investment return.
  • Additional domains, testing or research require a separately agreed scope.

How a claim becomes an assessment finding

We agree the question and scope, review the available evidence, and distinguish supported findings from unresolved claims. The report records sources, access limitations and practical follow-up questions. Additional testing or domains require a separately agreed scope.

For editorial examples of questions to ask about evidence, read our AI vendor access checklist and our analysis of Terafab announcements and semiconductor production readiness. These are public editorial articles, not completed commissioned assessments or purchasable assessment reports.

Questions before you begin

Is this the same as Red Flag Screening?

No. A technical assessment addresses a defined technical domain and a deeper evidence question. The screening is a limited preliminary check with fewer claims and no testing or interviews.

What if access or evidence is missing?

Those limitations are identified rather than silently treated as verification. Any additional access, testing or work must be agreed before it is added.

Cancellations and refunds

  • Before work starts, we refund the payment.
  • For one-off custom services, if you cancel after work starts, we refund the price paid minus the documented value of the work already completed, with an itemized explanation.
  • For quarterly and annual service packages, we refund undelivered services and unearned work at their allocated package prices. No retroactive full-price penalties.
  • For report-credit plans, we refund unused credits at their actual purchase value. Redeemed credits remain charged.
  • Downloaded reports and kits have no change-of-mind refund after delivery. Remedies for non-delivery, material defects or misdescription are preserved.
  • We do not deduct processing costs from a refund owed because we failed to provide the agreed service.
  • All cancellations are reviewed manually. No blanket nonrefundable annual fees or automatic refund loop.
